About me
I look at whole systems, making connections between the macro and micro, bridging socio- and ecological systems. My doctoral research in the western Arctic (Nunavut) helped me refine the art of
being quiet, listening, reflecting, discerning deeper needs, noticing what’s
working and what needs are being met… or not.
I am familiar with both quantitative and qualitative research approaches.
My approach is relational, rooted in wellbeing and resilience, informed by the realms of mindfulness, attachment theory and trauma-sensitive body-mind/somatic practices and values.
I am a settler single parent to my son, who is full of energy and curiosity. I was born in southern Ontario (Anishnabek, Haudenosaunee & Métis Nation lands) and am of Russian-British descent. I am honoured and grateful to live & work with/in shíshálh (Sechelt), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nation and Inuit homelands. I acknowledge my responsibility and joy to center and support Indigenous sovereignties - towards a more compassionate and empowered existence for all.
I love being out-of-doors, mushrooming, walking, gardening, swimming, communing with my forest family, playing and just being....
I am curious, thoughtful/contemplative, engaging, sensitive, compassionate, attuned and intuitive. I value connection, authenticity and joy/play. I am actively engaged in processes of self-inquiry and growth.
